About Ian Oliver

Hi, I\'m Ian Oliver, and I\'m a Rice University graduate with a degree in Sport Management and Business. My experience up to this point spans both the classroom and professional settings, as I\'ve spent meaningful time in the events, hospitality, sports, partnerships and non-profit industries, with hands-on roles at the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the American Heart Association, Best.Day.Ever, and more. Whether it\'s coordinating game-day logistics, supporting hospitality activations, or developing educational programs, I’ve always gravitated toward roles where I can connect meaningfully with audiences. At Rice, I took on leadership roles outside the classroom as well, including serving as Duncan College’s Student Maintenance Representative and as the president of the Rice University Club Baseball team.

   Own conference registration operations across AEE’s event portfolio, delivering seamless, high-touch experiences for attendees, VIPs, and stakeholders• Manage registration systems, data integrity, reporting, and post-event documentation, ensuring accuracy across all conferences, expos, and Legends programs• Lead on-site registration execution, including materials logistics, technology setup, and training and supervision of temporary event staff• Serve as a primary point of contact for tradeshow and hotel logistics, coordinating booth reservations, staff and VIP accommodations, and post-event hotel reconciliation• Support event leadership through cross-functional project coordination, technology implementation, and operational problem-solving before, during, and after events• Travel domestically and internationally to provide on-site registration and operational support for major AEE conferences
