Establish professional relations with employee unions. Conduct labor-mgmt meetings regarding collective bargaining agreements, best practices, mgmt rights, & determine notice requirements. Provide notices to unions & /or non-exclusively represented employees as required by HEERA or UCDH Policy. Work with managers to address strikes & other union activities. Facilitate updates with the unions concerning info requests, notices, & general bargaining matters. Analyze data, assess info, & make an independent assessment about the propriety of requests concerning records laws, campus practices, & HEERA. Interpret policies & labor contracts to campus regarding union rights, represent employees, & organize strategies, referring to HEERA principles. Conduct labor-mgmt meetings & provide research & recommendations in the resolution of complex personnel matters. Initiate Meet & Discuss meetings with exclusive & non-exclusive employee organizations, including analysis, assessment, & identifying a strategy to respond to the organization & to convey mgmt’s objectives. Conduct meetings with unions regarding compensation actions; research & respond to info requests, recommend solutions to address union challenges, & provide logistical support. Assure monitoring of system-wide program announcements & ensure notice to local bargaining units.Support & provide training to the UCDH leadership providing services at the Joint Venture Hospital, utilizing an understanding of organizational goals & priorities & ensuring consistent application of policy & collective bargaining agreements. Inform supervisors/managers of changes to collective bargaining agreements, policies, & procedures. Prepares data & communications for UCDH managers, supervisors, & employees related to the bargaining progress, union proposals, & changes in policies or procedures impacting employees. Collect & compile mgmt feedback & include it in follow-up. Collaborate as needed with Offices of Labor Relations.
