About Ian Lawson
I lead the engineering, research, and development of energy infrastructure projects that focus on Interruptible Data Centers (Bitcoin mining), Battery Energy Storage, and Solar. I co-lead business development and enjoy talking about and building Bitcoin. My expertise in the energy industry, energy storage and design delivers innovative and sustainable solutions that meet the needs of our clients and partners. My background is automotive engineering, where I pioneered two-phase thermosiphon-based heat recovery for hybrid electric vehicles (see patents). I am skilled in public speaking and business development, domestically and internationally, as well as typical engineering disciplines and software like CAE, heat transfer, Fusion 360, Matlab, and the Microsoft office suite. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University. Engineering is not just my job, it is my hobby. I am experienced and effective in remote work.
