Having been with United Rental Group (including a large portion of that time as Group Managing Director of both United and Sixt) since we started in 1991, our business is in amazing shape, both operationally and financially. So much so that I can step back and take things a little easier on a day to day basis as Chairman. I still work closely with the team and work on strategy based on years of experience in leading the UK Group. I have always based our success on three main principles:Treat suppliers with respectMake customers friendsEmployees are family.I try to keep in mind that even though we might all have different levels of responsibility - we\'re all equal at the end of the day.
