ABOUT IAN JORDAN

Ian is Head of Recovery Management in EMEA & APAC for all divisions at UBS. He manages troubled or stressed credit exposures with the goal of maximizing loan and derivative recoveries, protecting CS’s reputation and minimizing potential litigation risks. The portfolio is primarily made up of impaired or stressed corporate / leveraged finance and commercial real estate loans / assets, derivatives and structured products. Ian has twenty years of restructuring and insolvency experience having been based in both EMEA and APAC. He worked across a variety of sectors, including energy, construction, consumer products, transport, and retail, and specialises in contingency planning, strategic exits and insolvent restructurings.Prior to joining UBS (previously Credit Suisse), Ian was a Director in the restructuring practice at FTI Consulting in London. He was also based in Australia for four years working for Ferrier Hodgson. Before that, he was with Ernst & Young in London, where he worked in the restructuring practice. Ian is a chartered accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland. He is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia and holds a B.A. with honours in economics from The University of Durham.
