Research is on finding the best processes for manufacturing natural fiber and municipal solid waste (MSW) polymer composite materials. Responsibilities include formulating, manufacturing and testing composites made primarily by compression, extrusion, and injection molding polymers like UHMWPE, PLA, PHB, PBT, PBAT, HDPE, PA66 and Phenolic Resin with various natural fibers. Other responsibilities include operating our bio-composite 3D printer which my group made for our senior design project, modifying the lab space to meet safety requirements, drafting lab procedure, writing research papers, designing parametric studies, managing lab personnel, mold design and flow simulation and using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and present large datasets.
