   Serves as project engineer performing duties in engineering and design, construction management, operations and maintenance, hydraulics and hydrology, emergency management and regulatory at the District and Area Offices.Develops to completion civil engineering designs for proposed construction of civil and military construction projects to be used for inclusion in survey reports, design memoranda, and/or contract plans.Determines character and extent of designs required, giving full consideration to contract requirements, available materials, cost and practicability of design.Designs include: dredging, bridges, dams, levees, breakwaters, locks, and retaining walls in connection with developing (1) features pertinent to the layout of vertical, horizontal, and curve alignment.Performs office engineering and administration duties for assigned contracts such as reviewing contractor proposals, including shop drawings, construction materials and methods in terms of contract requirements.Performs project work at Resident or Area Offices.
