   Ian G. Arias, Co-Founder & Executive Vice-President of La Cité, was co-founded in 2001 by Dan Bythewood, Jr, Dan Bythewood Sr, and Khephra Burns. Mr. Arias has 22 years real estate finance, urban development, fund management, investor relations, and asset management leadership experience. He negotiated, structured, and closed on $900MM+ in equity for 4% and 9% affordable and 80/20 housing developments. He managed a $3BN NYC affordable housing portfolio. He is currently responsible for structuring and leading all of La Cite’s closing legal and finance teams; while also serving as the Global Admin for IT. He shares in the overall operational responsibilities directly with La Cite\'s President and fellow Co-Founder. Prior rejoining La Cite, he was MD of Castellan Real Estate Partners where he resuscitated a 4% bond rehab development with New Jersey HMFA. He served as the political liaison to: NYS Governor\'s office, NYS Assembly Members and Senators, New York State and City Housing Commissioners, City of Newark, and a Board Member for the New York State Association for Affordable Housing. In 2010, Mr. Arias was SVP of Acquisitions and Investor Relations for IFG Capital, where he secured and helped close on a 4%Acq/Rehab bond project with Goldman Sachs. From 20••••10, he was VP for PNC Bank where he established the bank’s NYC presence by closing large scale complex bond 80/20 development projects; he closed with best-in-class national Developers such as Jonathan Rose Companies, Forrest City Ratner, Albany Housing Authority, CPCR. Prior to PNC, Mr. Arias served as Senior Development Officer and Fund Manager at Enterprise Social Investment Corporation (ESIC). He has also been a lecturer at the New School for Social Research where he taught a graduate course in Real Estate Finance. Mr. Arias holds a Master’s Degree in Management and Urban Policy from the New School for Social Research and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from UCLA.
