Responsible and accountable for the delivery of turn-key capital and maintenance projects for NTPC’s power generation facilities from the conceptual stage to the final completion and hand-over stage.This involves initial project planning and budgeting, hiring of consultants to undertake design work including production of drawings and technical documents to be used in \"Request for Proposal\" documents. I instruct staff on contract document preparation, review proponent submissions and participate in the selection of the winning bid. I check drawings for feedback to consultants. I ensure that final submissions are completed in accordance with- the applicable project licenses and permits, P.Eng stamped drawings & documents, codes, standards, specifications, contracts, agreed upon schedule and within the approved project budget.I am also responsible for hiring and payment approval of contractors, on-site management and problem solving with contractors, installation and commissioning of engines and heat rate calculations to ensure contract compliance which must meet NTPC’s commitment for power generation availability and fuel efficiency to the communities they serve.
