Leading the team to create the first mobile radar device to detect weapons under a persons clothing from a safe 7 foot distance. Lassen Peak is an early stage startup that is building a new generation, low cost, compact, mobile/handheld and high resolution THz Radar imaging solution for security in order to make the world a safer place. The system leverages a new and novel fully coherent, low power, mobile THz Radar System on Chip (RSOC) coupled with a low power FPGA and cpu based embedded system. Local AI concealed object detection is supported by the cloud evidentiary management system, cloud based device fleet management, and optimized analytics for law enforcement and private security use.
