Grade 2, 12 bedroom,18th-century English country house set in 45 acres, located in Essex. Beautiful parkland estate with extensive equine facilities, parkland, lakes and woods. The estate has recently reverted to a live in residence and this is the first large country estate the principals have owned. I was employed by the family on the completion of the estate purchase. The property has not been used as a live in residence since the 1970\'s so the estate was a blank canvas when I took the role, with nothing in place, no staff, no machinery, tools. The family needed help with making the estate liveable and made ready for them to move in the following year. This was a challenge I was very much looking forward to taking on. I have been instrumental in, managing, planning and overseeing all the necessary purchases of equipment, building facilities, putting together a team of exceptional staff and everything else that is needed to run an estate like this. The estate is now fully functional and largely self contained with all maintenance inside and out being carried out inhouse. It has been a fantastic experience and extremely rewarding. I am responsible for the day to day management and upkeep of the estate and its 11 staff. Working closely with the family to ensure the estate is managed to their needs.
