ABOUT IAN CASSWELL

With over 20 years of work experience in health, safety, environmental, and quality management, I am a passionate and dedicated to being inclusive with the safety message. I am committed to ensuring the highest standards of performance and compliance across the organization, and to promoting a positive and proactive culture of safety and quality among the staff, clients, and contractors. I hold the CMIOSH credential from IOSH, and the ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 certifications and i am a certified lead auditor. In my current role, I am responsible for managing the HSEQ policies and procedures for the company, covering a wide range of projects and services in the construction, mechanical, electrical, and renewable energy sectors. I oversee the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of the HSEQ management systems, ensuring compliance with the relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices. I also conduct audits, inspections, and investigations, and provide training, guidance, and support to the staff and management on HSEQ matters. Additionally, I liaise with external stakeholders, such as clients, regulators, insurers, and suppliers, to maintain positive and productive relationships and to demonstrate my commitment to excellence. Some of my key achievements include achieving and maintaining the ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 accreditations, reducing the accident frequency rate by 35%, and securing several contracts with prestigious clients due to the company\'s high HSEQ standards. I have also developed and implemented various HSEQ initiatives, such as the risk assessment and incident reporting systems, the behavioral safety program, and the environmental awareness campaign. Through my work, I have demonstrated my skills in safety leadership, workplace safety, industrial safety, quality management, and facilities management.
