About Ian Carlson

I’m a Finance and Business Analytics student at Iona University, also studying Information Systems with a minor in Artificial Intelligence. As an Honors student and the incoming Student Government Association Vice President of Finance, I focus on applying financial and data-driven thinking to real decision-making environments.In my role within Student Government, I collaborate with student leaders and university administration to support budgeting decisions and represent the financial interests of the student body. This experience has strengthened my ability to analyze data, communicate effectively, and make informed decisions in high-responsibility settings.I’m particularly interested in financial analysis and roles at the intersection of finance and technology, where data can be used to drive smarter business decisions.I’m currently seeking opportunities in finance, analytics, or information systems to continue building hands-on experience and contributing to impactful projects.
