Reporting to the Head of Construction Management and supporting the Regional Head of Projects to provide Construction Management expertise and governance across a portfolio of International Projects. Managing local contractors and supply partners to ensure compliance with the legislation and regulations of all the countries in which AZ operates and to assure conformance with AZ standards to deliver a top tier SHE performance. Assisting with defining project delivery strategies. Fulfilling the role of CDM Coordinator on a number of UK based projects. Identifying any competency gaps in the supply chain and ensuring that they are covered by coaching and educating. Understanding the importance of local cultures and having the ability to positively influence the local project teams. Ensuring that a construction SHE programme is effectively delivered and audited to encourage a site safety culture based on positive behaviours. Accountable for the implementation of appropriate construction best practice techniques with supply partners and undertaking early constructability reviews. Leading and working with other construction SHE professionals to drive construction improvement initiatives and develop a Global Construction Improvement Plan. Assisting Project Managers and Category Teams to help drive supplier performance improvements. Ensuring a specific SHE based prequalification is carried out for all AZ employed contractors and the results are recorded and provide a basis for an ongoing improvement process. Ensuring that sufficient budget is identified to permit safe working and that resources and budgets of contractors and supply partners represent good value for AZ and ensure the right level of construction resource to manage the work. Providing oversight and auditing of construction quality, ensuring project quality plans are in place.
