Hiking My Feelings is on a mission to improve community health by creating opportunities for people to experience the healing power of nature through story, movement, and relationship.What began as a personal journey to heal through hiking has evolved into an international movement that bridges personal wellbeing with stewardship of the places that sustain us.🥾 PROGRAMS- Books & Storytelling: Hiking Your Feelings: Blazing a Trail to Self-Love serves as the foundation for our programs and events, offering stories and tools to help readers reconnect with themselves through nature- Wilderness Wellness Retreats: Multi-day experiences that weave together environmental stewardship, mindful movement, and self-reflection. Our innovative partnerships have been featured at the Public Lands Alliance Conference (2024 – Sequoia National Park, 2025 – Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument)- Blaze Your Own Trail to Self-Love: A virtual program and community designed to support self-care through hiking, reflection, and connection. Participants learn to turn time outdoors into a practice of mindfulness and healing- Reciprocity Rx™: Developed through our sister organization Wellness in the Wilderness Consulting, this certification program trains healthcare providers to integrate nature-based reciprocity into patient care and public health. EVENTS & IMPACTSince 2018, we’ve hosted more than 500 events across the U.S- from storytelling nights at REI stores and university workshops to group hikes, service projects, and immersive retreats in partnership with the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, and public lands nonprofits. SPEAKINGSydney has shared her story and insights at the Public Lands Alliance Conference, SXSW, University of Kansas, Becoming an Outdoors Woman (Montana FWP) and beyond — helping audiences rediscover their connection to self, community, and the land.
