About Jay H.

I’m passionate about being both efficient and effective, always striving to improve how things are built and how teams work together. My career began in 1996 as a designer and builder of websites, and over the years, my role has expanded to include mentorship, architecture, and people leadership. This broad experience gives me a unique perspective, allowing me to bridge the gap between the \"visual\" and the \"functional\" with equal fluency. In my view, an application becomes a \"work of art\" when it is not only visually appealing and user-friendly but also fast, secure, reliable, and easy to maintain. As a leader, I foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation. My goal is always to deliver quality inside and out, both in the technology I build and the teams I support. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, immersing myself in nature through hiking and backpacking, and challenging myself to grow stronger and healthier through cycling, weight training, and mindful nutrition. I also love traveling the world and gaining a deeper understanding of different cultures along the way.
