About Bikram Adhikari
With over five years of experience in bioengineering and biomedical research, I am passionate about developing in vitro tissue models and delivering therapeutics. As a scientific consultant at GelSana, a medical device startup, I spearhead the development of a proprietary hydrogel-based product, ensuring adherence to ISO 10993-1 standards throughout the product life cycle. I design and execute in vivo animal studies, collaborate with research teams, provide critical insights for regulatory submissions, and employ advanced lab techniques for thorough biocompatibility testing and characterization.I am also a postdoctoral researcher and an adjunct faculty at Colorado School of Mines, where I direct, manage, and support research operations for an NIH-funded project focused on growth plate cartilage regeneration, employing novel hydrogels and peptides.
