Resident Care Assistant @Rhynocare

As a Resident Care Assistant, I provide 1:1 supervision and compassionate support to residents with dementia, Alzheimer’s, frontal brain injury, schizophrenia, stroke, and other cognitive or behavioral conditions. I ensure a safe and supportive environment by closely monitoring residents with risks of elopement, aggression, or self-harm, and promptly reported concerns to the healthcare team. I assist these residents with activities of daily living under the supervision of registered health professionals, while engaging them in meaningful, cognitively stimulating activities such as reading, storytelling, and photo sharing. I accurately document resident behaviors and care interventions using tools such as the Dementia Observation Scale (DOS) and Behaviour Assessment Record (BAR) to support care planning.
