Artistry grounded in soul.I am a British fine jewellery designer and maker specialising in bespoke commissions and one-of-a-kind pieces from my studio in Great Abington, Cambridge. My work is defined by a commitment to \"Quiet Luxury\"- creating enduring, meaningful jewellery that balances technical discipline with an organic, tactile aesthetic.The Intersection of Science and CraftCreating jewellery is my third career, and it is the culmination of a multidisciplinary journey. With a background encompassing PhD research, a career as an Officer in the Army Reserve (Royal Signals), and over 20 years in the global pharmaceutical industry, I bring a unique level of precision and structured thinking to the bench.In 2018, I chose a more intentional path. I traded global corporate roles for the intimacy of the artisan\'s workshop, driven by a desire to create items of lasting value with a significantly lower environmental impact. This transition wasn\'t a departure from my values of discipline and focus - it was a way to apply them to something tactile, soulful, and permanent.Signature Techniques: SandcastingMy design language explores the tension between elegance and imperfection. I am a specialist in sandcasting, utilising beach sands from unique locations - particularly the Cornish coast where I grew up - to impart distinct, non-replicable textures to precious metals.To further elevate these forms, I use:Juxtaposed Textures: Contrasting high-polish accents with raw, earth-hewn surfaces.Ethical Provenance: Working primarily with SMO (Single Mine Origin) Gold and responsibly sourced gemstones.Recognition & ExpertiseMy work has been recognised by the industry’s leading bodies, most recently as a Finalist for the NAJ (National Association of Jewellers) Collection of the Year 2025 for the ATOMIUM collection.I am a graduate of the Jewellers Academy (Fine and Advanced Jewellery Diplomas).Let’s ConnectWhether you are looking to commission a bespoke engagement ring, breathe new life into an heirloom through a redesign, or acquire a one-of-a-kind investment piece, I invite you to join the journey.
