About Iain MacKie
I help entrepreneurs and companies sell or buy businesses, invest in new markets or technologies and scale quickly. I am a licensed business broker in the state of Washington through Transworld Business Advisors, one of the largest business brokerage networks globally. I retired from my corporate career in 2020. It was a blast. I had a ringside seat for the VLSI revolution and the advance of computer architectures from mainframes through PCs to the internet of things and the cloud. I started as an engineer, progressed into management, operations, and business leadership. I worked in startups, Global Fortune 500 companies and everything in-between. I served the defense, financial, commercial, consumer, automotive and aerospace industries worldwide. The teams that I formed and lead, developed award winning and industry leading products, grew businesses and created many jobs. It was not all corporate though, I have worked retail, driven a cab, been a bouncer, a professional actor, a mall Santa and a merchant seaman. Now I leverage my four decades of business experience to my client’s advantage.
