Visual Design Director with over 26 years of experience in the games industry, responsible for defining and governing the complete visual design language across our projects.I lead the end-to-end visual design vision across all player-facing and in-world touchpoints, including UI and front-end systems, in-world branding, teams, vehicles, environments, and all visual design frameworks that support the product. My role sits at the intersection of creative direction, brand stewardship, and production reality, ensuring visual coherence, clarity, and quality at scale.I work closely with Creative, Product, UX, Engineering, Marketing, and external partners to align visual design with the IP’s long-term vision, commercial goals, and player expectations. This includes setting visual standards, approving key assets, resolving cross-discipline design challenges, and ensuring consistency across platforms, and features. My focus is not just on how things look, but on how visual design functions as a system — supporting usability, narrative, brand recognition, and player trust.Key responsibilities:• Ownership of the overarching visual design strategy across the entire project• Definition and governance of visual design systems, principles, and standards• Oversight of UI, front-end, in-world branding, vehicles, teams, and all visual identity elements• Senior stakeholder collaboration across internal teams and external partners• Final visual sign-off on high-impact assets and features• Ensuring visual quality, consistency, and scalability.

ABOUT IAIN HARRISON

With over 26 years in game development and 29 years in the creative industries as a whole. I’ve directed art, narrative & visual identity across a wide spectrum of genres and platforms, from console titles to innovative indie games, from cinematics to real-time storytelling. My career has spanned concept to completion, pitch to product, hands-on creation to high-level direction. What drives me is creative possibility, and how to unlock it through people, process & purpose. As a leader, I’m collaborative, vision-led and fiercely adaptive. I believe the best creative outcomes happen when diverse teams feel empowered, pipelines are built to serve the idea (not the other way around), and experimentation is part of the culture. I’ve built and led multidisciplinary teams, often acting as the bridge between departments, studios, or even industries. Today, I’m focused on what’s next:• Building leaner, more resilient teams.• Integrating AI & procedural tools into creative pipelines.• Exploring new frontiers in virtual production, immersive media & interactive storytelling.
