The SYSTRA, Mace and Comtech (MCS) consortium was officially selected by Metrolinx, the GTHA mobility authority in Ontario, to manage the GO Expansion program. The 10-year plan is unprecedented in scope for Metrolinx and is required to expand and modernize the entire Toronto area rail network, GO Transit. This highly complex program will provide faster, more frequent and better-connected services to the entire region. I will be leading the Project & Construction Delivery Team, responsible for stations, civils, and major engineering schemes across the GO Expansion program.

ABOUT IAIN THOMAS
Working with Metrolinx on the GO Expansion Program as the Program Delivery Partner (PDP), which is a Joint Venture of Mace, Comtech, SYSTRA (MCS). I am Head of Construction Delivery, now leading the East Sector, with accountability for Union Station, and the following rail corridors Lakeshore East, Richmond Hill, Stouffville. Prdviously I was supporting the Ontario Line Project with constructability advice. TSP Projects / SYSTRA UK - Programme Manager (Major Projects) responsible for the successful delivery of all Energy & Rail schemes, the main scheme being Gatwick Airport Station. Story Contracting - Regional Operations Manager with responsibility for the London North-East (LNE) region of Network Rail\'s regional model. Successfully led the CP6 Geotechnical Framework tender. VINCI - Project Controls & Planning Manager working on the £350M Allerton Waste Recovery Park project in North Yorkshire. VINCI / Morgan Sindall - Project Manager (>15years), with a history of successfully delivering key projects on the London Underground network (Knightsbridge, Kings Cross, Manor House, Green Park, Warren Street, Tottenham Court Road) to challenging programme dates. Tottenham Court Road being the jewel in the crown of my career to date, where I spent circa 5.5years successfully delivering the project. Initial experience in civil\'s, piling and structural steelwork. Developed my career and skills (>15-years) with complex, extensive fit-out and refurbishments of LU stations, including lifts & escalator. Largest scheme directly managed was £50M, as part of a £400M overall project. Extensive experience of managing works in live passenger environments, safety critical works, and engineering-hours / possession working. Adept at building (internally & external recruitment) & managing successful working teams, achieving success.
