ABOUT IAIN RYAN

In carrying out my daily duties, I have become proficient in the use of a variety of desk based software programmes, and have gained other key skills, examples of my abilities are detailed here:• Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and general IT skills.• Proficient use of Causeway Estimating Software.• Use of Information Management Systems.• Navigating 3D Model viewers such as Google SketchUp and Navisworks, to better understand complex projects. • High standard of hard copy and electronic presentation documents, including photo editing and file merging.• Research into systems, projects and contractors using the internet, brochures and literature. Including London Underground Approved Register. • Good understanding and interpretation of Architect’s Drawings, enabling me to fully understand the layout and intent of the project. • I am able to transfer an Architect’s intent into working drawings for enquiries to fabricators, by way of producing 3D hand sketches or drawings.• I am experienced in working with Main Contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.• Presentation skills and public speaking for internal handovers to the construction team. I am also experienced in completing Tender Deliverables such as; Pre-Qualification Questionnaires, Health and Safety Questionnaires, Supplier Questionnaires, Outline Method Statements, Outline Tender Programme and Labour Resources. I am a team player, but can be left to work independently, taking an enquiry all the way through to an order placed, whilst working to the high and detailed standard that has come to be expected of me. I am enthusiastic to take on new challenges and approaches, without fear to voice my own opinion if I feel it is beneficial to all.
