ABOUT IAIN LAIRD
My 40 year career of international work in Shipping Insurance concluded in 2020. I worked initially in marine claims as an Average Adjuster\'s Assistant, mainly in Greece and transferred to underwriting in 1985 to make use of my language skills (Spanish, French, Portuguese, Greek, Russian and German) and developed a good knowledge of business and culture in Greece, Turkey, Spain and South America, particularly Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador and Colombia since then, and had a significant involvement with the Greek Shipping Community.
