Most reconciliation failures at asset managers and banks are not system failures. They are data architecture and process failures — and I have been solving them at Tier-1 institutions for over 40 years. As Principal Consultant at ReconIQ, I work with asset managers, banks, and wealth managers on every reconciliation type: cash, nostro, trading position, P&L, custodian, fund manager, ETD and general ledger. My background includes leading the enterprise data and control architecture programme within Citi\'s Global Reconciliation Utility — one of the most complex reconciliation transformation programmes in global financial services — and delivering regulatory assurance across MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, and CFTC frameworks for international institutions. I am typically engaged where firms need to: • Rationalise fragmented or legacy reconciliation platforms into scalable, consolidated architectures • Establish golden-source data, audit-defensible controls, and exception management frameworks • Deliver regulatory reporting assurance (MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, CFTC) with full data lineage • Support regional expansion, booking model change, or post-trade environment migration • Build operating models that are sustainable beyond the programme — not just technically implementedPlatform experience spans SmartStream TLM, Intellimatch, AutoRek, Broadridge, Calypso, XREC, and CheckFree Recon. I have worked across Citi, Broadridge, Saxo Bank, ICBC Standard Bank, Renaissance Capital, Newedge, ABN AMRO, BNP Paribas, and Barclays Capital, among others.I work on fixed-fee engagements — scoped, time-bounded, and priced to be accessible.
