Lead the stand-up of a new Department leading Risk Review activities and supporting a new Executive governance committee which aims to enhance the 2LoD oversight and review of the NAPA process across Barclays. • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.• Responsible for leading change initiatives within the Risk Function, with a focus on Group led change projects. Act as a programme lead launching and leading initiatives to streamline processes, enhance data management and implement tactical and strategic systems solutions.• Focus on Risk / Issue / Control management and identification across the PD & R Risks, improving the control environment for all stakeholders through Quality Assurance, Monitoring and Testing, targeted Risk Reviews and Review and Challenge. • Identify areas of weakness or Control failures within PD & R to feed changes to the Standard or process and to improve Barclays visibility of areas for improvement.• Provide enhancement and effective operation of the PD & R processes across the Group at Executive and Board Level.• Lead Risk Reviews – Plan, and lead the Risk Review and QA processes on behalf of the group, produce reports, engage and agree issues with stakeholders and manage through to ORAC booking.• Develop a monitoring, QA and Assessment methodology and QA testing criteria for application across the PD & R portfolio.• Embed an escalation path from PD & R Head upwards through Operational Risk and Compliance to ensure clear communication and escalation of weaknesses• Identify areas of control weakness, process failures in both retrospective and real-time activities through both targeted reviews and continuous monitoring.• Monthly ownership and administration of the new Barclays oversight Committee including production of Executive MI, Risk Profile and NAPA statistics
