ABOUT IAIN CALCOTT

I have gone back to my technical roots as Project Process Manager for Wood in their Capital Projects Organisation after a number of years in a corporate role. Previously as leader of the Modifications Service Line in the UK and Ireland business, I led and managed teams based in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Darlington and Ellesmere Port offices. The Modifications Service Line delivers brownfield and greenfield projects in the Upstream and Downstream Oil and Gas sectors, Petrochem and Chemicals sectors and Energy Sector. The range of activities undertaken include Concept Studies, Front End Studies (FEED) Detailed Design, Construction, Fabrication, Turnaround delivery and also the management and supply of Storage Tank services (build and maintain). Prior to my move to corporate management, I was a successful Process Manager / Process Engineer and my extensive process engineering experience includes being Process Manager on numerous Oil Gas, Chemical and Power projects both in greenfield and brownfield sectors across the UK and further afield. I have significant experience in all aspects of chemical engineering projects and I have a proven track record in the delivery of Concept studies, FEED projects and EPC projects in all sectors of the Process Industry. I have a Honours Degree in Chemical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, and I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and a Chartered Engineer. I was elected by my peers to the UK Board of the Institute of Chemical Engineers in 2013 and served for a 2 year term of office. Away from work I enjoy travel, rugby and golf.
