About I Lu
I am a scientist and engineer. Though my major is in materials science and engineering (minor in physics), I like to involve myself in a multidisciplinary research environment that covers a wide spectrum of research work such as physics, chemistry, biology and so on. I love to discuss theories and experiments with others to help the scientific community grow and make progress. Also, I love to make my hands \"dirty\", namely, turning what I think into reality. If anything related to science (especially, physics, chemistry, and materials science) that I can help, please let me know! I am a hungry learner. I love to read non-fiction books (e.g, learning strategies, business, investment, language learning) and scientific textbooks (e.g, physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, computer science). My current goal is to read one book per day and my current progress is one book per week now. I am interested in technology entrepreneurship, though I am not an entrepreneur now, but eager to become one to help the world solve challenging engineering problems (e.g, energy, environment, materials, and so on).My personal goal is to be a good scientist, tech entrepreneur, and inspiring educator to help the next generation :) I am also a Chan practitioner, who practices Chan or meditation every day to understand myself and find the inner peace. In addition, I am a full-Marathon runner, who has challenged two full Marathons up till now (2020). One is 48 km (June, 2019; I spent almost 10 hours); the other one is 43.42 km (June, 2020; I spent 7:06:56).
