Provide strategic and technical support to strengthen National and regional influenza surveillance systems across the SEA region.* Coordinate and support the Global Influenza Surveillance and Response System (GISRS) activities in collaboration with National Influenza Centers (NICs) and WHO Collaborating Centers (WHOCCs).* Contribute to regional strategies for regulatory readiness and public health emergency preparedness.* Support the implementation of Preparedness and Resilience for Emerging Threats (PRET) and Simulation Exercises (SEMEX) across Member States.* Organize and lead regional meetings, workshops, and webinars to promote pandemic preparedness, technical updates, and best practices.* Engage in capacity building, policy guidance, and strengthening of surveillance systems in collaboration with WHO HQ, country offices, and partners. Achievements:1. Successfully organized and facilitated a multi-country NIC Bi-regional Meeting in the Philippines (November 2024), strengthening regional collaboration and laboratory networking.2. Spearheaded a technical webinar series for NICs in SEAR in collaboration with WHOCCs, enabling knowledge exchange and tailored technical support.
