ABOUT HYOU-JOUNG
I have always envisioned a more accessible, convenient diagnostic solution. I research, develop, scale, and commercialize point-of-care and at-home diagnostic platforms.In my 20 years of research career- I commercialized Korea’s first at-home cholesterol monitor, LipidPro™- I developed the xVFA platform to detect multiple biomarkers in 1 cartridge, leveraging deep-learning analysis to diagnose Lyme disease, cardiovascular disease, and acute myocardial infarction (AMI) early- I managed 14 projects ranging from infectious disease, cardiac, and more on the xVFA platform.Diagnostics is my passion. My current research is in hormones. I dream of building a test as accurate as a clinical lab test, lightweight, small, inexpensive (~$1 BOM), and based on one drop of body fluid for everyone and everywhere.
