ABOUT HYERIM JANG
I am a general surgery resident at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with a background in public health, research, and quantitative analysis. I am passionate in surgical research, particularly in studying disparities of patient outcomes based on SDH.My deep interest in research and the intersection of public health and surgery drove me to receive my MPH in Quantitative Methods at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. I gained skills in data analysis via R, SAS, and Stata and am experienced in model building for regression analyses and performing survival and meta analyses.As a future physician, my goal is to provide exceptional and equitable care to all patients as a surgeon, challenge and revise current policies that harm socially vulnerable populations, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to produce innovative ways to combat health care inaccessibility.
