About Hyejung Park

I am a proud DACA recipient who earned U.S. citizenship through the MAVNI program, a journey that has deeply shaped my commitment to public service and social impact. I believe in the transformative power of education and strong community support to break cycles of inequality, creating meaningful opportunities for children, youth, and families to thrive in a more equitable society.With nearly a decade of experience in developmental research, team leadership, and program management, I’ve conducted empirical studies and experiments that explore human growth and behavior across the lifespan. My work has contributed valuable insights into cognitive, emotional, and social development.Looking ahead, I am excited to launch KAYLA in 2025, an initiative dedicated to fostering civic engagement among first- & second-generation Korean American youth (https://kaylaunites.org/).Based in Phoenix, Arizona, I share my life with my partner and our dog, Barley. Outside of work, I enjoy working with clay, hiking the Arizona Trail, and training for the annual 4.2-mile Pat’s Run in Tempe, AZ.
