ABOUT JASON HYDE
I am an experienced Project Leader and Design Manager working in Mott MacDonald\'s multi-award winning Urban Transit and Mobility Team. I help our teams identify and meet the needs of our clients in the rapid transit sub-sector, with a particular focus on the tram, tram-train and bus rapid transit modes. I also have a keen interest in the integration of Streets for All principals into our client solutions.I have a technical background in the design of bridges and heavy civil structures, including the inspection, survey and demolition of bridges. I have experience in projects across both the UK and Europe which allows me to draw on a wide range of experience.During my early career development, I worked on site alongside the contractor for the construction of Nottingham Express Transit Phase Two, providing expert advice for the resolution of onsite technical queries and provided the key interface with the design teams in Manchester, Croydon and Sheffield.I am also keen to provide value back to society and am the Chair of a Local Governing Body where I am responsible for ensuring the effective functioning of the board, providing clear leadership and direction, and keeping the board focused on its core functions. Alongside this role, I am also a Trustee for the Multi-Academy Trust where I am also Chair of the Finance and Resources Committee. My role as a Trustee of the MAT sees me fulfilling the requirements of both a Charity Trustee and a Company Director.More recently I have been participating as a Leader in the school\'s Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and have passed the requisite training to become an Assessor.
