Responsible for leading the data science lateral of digital transformation by introducing AI and machine learning with objectives of reducing cost, preventing non-productive time and improving efficiency; internalizing the efforts from outsourced vendors and organically developing a team; creating a roadmap and execution strategy for short as well as long-term profitability and operational excellence. Following are some of the key accomplishments.• Spearheaded a comprehensive prescriptive maintenance routine across a fleet of 900 assets resulting in a paradigm shift from reactive failure-driven maintenance to condition-based maintenance with a projected annual cost savings of $150MM.• Championed the Master Data Management and Cloud migration of data coming from more than 12 different sources, across two subsidiaries, including streaming operational data, static asset data, maintenance and ERP data – all in a unified, cleansed and structured format ready to be consumed for a wide variety of analytics and machine learning applications.• Internalized $3.2MM worth of outsourced Data Management and Analytics initiatives by organically building the team and leveraging the synergy between the two merged companies resulting in internal cost of 48%.• Partnered with senior business leaders and service providers to create a realistic, sustainable and profitable technology roadmap with clearly identified milestones and success criteria and leveraging a minimum-viable-product (MVP) based approach with fast cycle times, acted as a change agent fostering data and analytics driven culture within the organization.• Collaborated with the Governance team to ensure data quality, security and integrity throughout the value chain.
