I am the SO1 Lt Col leading the British Army Safety Group and the staff officer directing the British Army Safety and Environmental Protection management systems to ensure quality delivery of safety activity. I manage planning and interaction with the British Army Command functions and other organisations providing safety and environmental advice, and guidance to British Army command chains.I direct development and delivery of the safety elements of the British Army Safety Group engagement and communications planning, financial outputs and support briefing of HM Forces senior leadership. I command the HM Forces Army Safety Investigation Team and the contributions to MOD Support Equipment Management Systems Policy (SEMS). I manage Regular, Full Time Reserve Service and Civil Service personnel, and promote inclusivity within the army safety teams.I operate at Defence level across all Services and liaise with the MOD Defence Safety Authority (Health, Safety and Environmental Protection Regulator/Investigator), Service Safety Centres, Army depts, and HSE, and understand the strategic and tactical effects of policy and Army safety output.Holder of NEBOSH General Certificate, Construction, and Environment. Qualified Consignor of Dangerous Goods by Sea & Air. Authorised Representative for Movement of Explosives by Road. Qualified in Project-Oriented Environmental Management Systems (POEMS), Sustainable Development in Defence Acquisition (SDDA), and Environmental Awareness in Defence (EAD). Studying for NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate.

I forge strong contract agreements to reduce commercial risks and improve customer relations as a H&S, Environmental, HR or Programme Director.
