ABOUT HUSSAIN ALHUSSAINY
I am a graduate student living with cerebral palsy currently pursuing a Master\'s degree in Political Science at the University of Alberta. I have received the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Masters award. My research focus is on critical disability studies and colonial/post-colonial studies in the Middle East. Apart from my research, I have been involved in the establishment of the Council on Systemic Ableism at the University. This council is co-chaired by Vice-Provost Dr. Carrie Smith and Canada Research Chair Dr. Danielle Peers.
