As a Senior Speech Language Pathologist, I play a crucial role in providing evidence based practices to students from TK-12th grade with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. I work in collaboration with a team of professionals to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with a variety of communication disorders and special needs, including but not limited to Autism, Speech Language Impairments, ADHD, Specific Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, and Other Health Impairments.Responsibilities-Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans-Lead team trainings and workshops on evidence-based practices, diversity, equity, and inclusion.Champion the implementation of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices to enhance communication for students with complex needs-Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and quality care for moderate to severe students-Provide supervision and guidance to Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support their professional growth and development-Serve as a community partner in the East Bay, particularly advocating for underrepresented populations and working closely with families and community leaders-Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in the field of Speech Language Pathology.
