About Husam Alissa

Husam Alissa leads the Systems Technology Team at Microsoft’s CO+I CTO Office, where he drives development of next-generation technologies across the stack (chip to data center) advancing the future of cloud and AI infrastructure. His team works across disciplines to deliver innovations in cooling, power, networking, sustainability, materials, and automation, helping bring transformative ideas from early incubation to production.His contributions have been recognized with honors such as the DCD Award for Mission Critical Tech Innovation, Micro Top Picks, TCPMT Best Paper Award, and the ASME InterPACK Outstanding Paper Award. His recent research on sustainable cooling for cloud and AI infrastructure was published in Nature and highlighted by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, providing an open source LCA tool for the cloud and AI industry. Husam has over 70 technical publications, one book, & more than 140 filed/granted patents.
