Lead and manage the university’s Intramural Sports Department, overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of an extensive intramural program that hosts five events per week, Sunday through Thursday, across a variety of sports and activities- Develop and implement seasonal sports schedules, tournament brackets, and playoff structures to ensure fair, competitive, and engaging experiences for participants- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a diverse team of student staff members, including game officials, supervisors, and event assistants—fostering leadership, accountability, and a positive working environment- Conduct ongoing training and professional development sessions to enhance staff knowledge in officiating, conflict resolution, customer service, and emergency response procedures- Oversee daily event operations, including equipment setup, facility readiness, scorekeeping, and participant engagement—ensuring safe and efficient programming- Collaborate closely with campus partners, including student life, wellness, and athletics, to support holistic student involvement and align recreational offerings with campus needs- Monitor and enforce league rules, sportsmanship standards, and safety protocols while handling conflict mediation and participant discipline with professionalism and fairness- Evaluate program success through participant feedback and performance metrics, continuously improving offerings to enhance student satisfaction and retention- Serve as a leader within the broader Recreational Services department, contributing to strategic planning, budget oversight, and long-term program development.
