About Hunter Petro
From managing and consulting on campaigns to leading digital strategy and social media, I’ve spent the last six years gaining the first-hand experience necessary to make a real impact in policy and politics. I am a senior at Marist College, completing my degree in Global Studies with a concentration in Peace and Conflict Studies and a minor in Political Science. Upon graduation, I will also obtain my paralegal certification through Marist University’s ABA-approved program, all in just three years. For over a year, I’ve been working with the Marist Institute for Public Opinion as a Media Team Producer, where I play a key role in producing our weekly podcast and drafting content for our social media. More recently, I started as a Legislative Coordinator for David Carlucci Consulting, where I track and report legislative developments, advocate for client interests through direct engagement with policymakers, and prepare memos or press releases for clients. While my work is locally based, it\'s rooted in global experience. I spent my freshman year studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland, where I earned the Graduate Work Readiness Gold Award at Dublin Business School. Whether analyzing policy, crafting narratives, or helping shape public opinion, my goal is to drive informed, people-centered change across the world. As I wrap up my undergraduate journey, I’m eager to bring my experience and voice to the lobbying and public affairs sector.
