Deliver comprehensive career guidance to undergraduate and graduate students through personalized advising sessions, facilitating thoughtful, informed decisions on majors, career paths, and internship/job opportunities• Collaborate with four other members of the Exploration Community in crafting tailored workshops, presentations, and events that create welcoming, non-judgmental spaces to help students better understand the connection between self and major/career opportunities to ensure student self-efficacy• Utilize a range of assessment tools and resources including Strong Interest Inventory, PathwayU, VMock, etc. to help students gain clarity of interests and values while targeting corresponding occupational paths• Thoughtfully build and strengthen relationships and partnerships across Grounds on behalf of the Career Center, resulting in 100+ specific student referrals and 50+ specific presentation requests from departments/offices/classes like Multicultural Student Services, Student Engagement, the Resilient Student, etc.• Directly supervised a Career Center Fellow – trained Fellow on career counseling techniques, Career Center resources and protocols, and set up informational interviews with partners across Grounds and Charlottesville community to help foster career exploration and create meaningful connections• Oversee the entirety of the Career Peer Educator (CPE) program that consists of 18 undergraduate student employees from initial recruitment and interviewing through weekly trainings and supervisions• Craft multiple day-long training sessions in both August and January for CPEs, while providing hands-on instruction throughout the academic year to ensure CPEs are knowledgeable on resumes, cover letters, presentations, all while displaying excellent, caring customer service skills
