In the Bertrand Huber Lab, I primarily focus on optical clearing techniques of post-mortem brain tissue from our brain banks with a leading expert in the field, Grace Rosen, PhD. With her mentorship, I have learned how to efficiently clear brain tissue, making it transparent. This can then be visualized three-dimensionally and analyzed with IMARIS software to assess the long-term effects of head trauma and structural changes associated with a given pathology.
