About Hunter Helal
I\'ve worn many hats throughout my career- Industrial Engineer (Boeing), Industrial Engineer/Dept. Manager (Blockbuster), Field Industrial Engineer/Project Manager (Wal-Mart), Sr. Operations Engineer/Engineering PM (Amazon), and most recently Sr. Solutions Engineering Manager – NAFC Operations Engineering (Amazon). In each of my roles, I have been successful in delivering innovation in operations, production, service, and delivery. I\'m always excited to take on automation, engineering, design, and process improvement projects because I really enjoy creating/inventing things and seeing the fruits of my labor make a positive impact. That\'s my true job satisfaction! I also thrive on any challenge. There is always a solution or a work-around, so let’s collaborate together to make \"impossible\" things possible. Over the years, I\'ve learned that it\'s the people that impact operations and results. If you treat everyone with the same amount of respect, and earn their trust, people will bend-over-backwards to help you achieve your goals. Through a combination of data-driven decision making, an ability to interpret business needs, and a keen understanding of how people—whether employees, vendors, customers, or partners-impact operations, I offer a track record of improvements and right-fit systems that grow with the organization. A few accomplishments I\'m proud of include: Solved a network-wide issue by pitching and executing a $150M solution to install 60+ sortation equipment in 21 of the largest active sites in the network in less than eight months at Amazon. Successfully executed the largest network-wide MHE retrofit design project in Amazon history to increase Outbound sortation destinations from 40 destinations to 140 destinations. Relied upon to ideate, design, and implement many “first-of-its-kind” projects at Amazon: Tent FCs, Automated Non-Sort FCs, Kiva (Amazon Robotics) Sortable FCs, AR Quick Deploys, Supplemental FCs, Modular Dock Trailers, Modular Automated Sortation equipment, Manual X-Wing Sorters. Incorporated a new $4.3M Mini-load Crane/Order filling system at Wal-Mart’s home Regional Distribution Center and personally trained over 70 associates on every aspect of system. Reengineered processes in a $150K project to streamline Blockbuster’s entire Returns department flow, delivering improvements including reductions to workforce and inventory by 20%. Optimized the flow of materials, information, and people using lean techniques while focusing on improving the 757 and Propulsion Systems Division (PSD) programs at Boeing.
