Leads all community relations, partnership, and visitor services for the destination, creates and implements the strategic vision of the department, and serves on the leadership team for Visit Sarasota County.• Responsible for managing 500+ relationships with the local businesses, Chambers of Commerce, Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs), foundations, and other community organizations in Sarasota County and connects them to opportunities to collaborate. • Recruits new partners and increases engagement with existing partners through B2B networking, Tourism U professional development series, sponsorships, and annual industry events, including the Indicators & Insights Summit (Fall), Haley Hall of Fame Awards (Fall), National Travel & Tourism Week (Spring), and Savor Sarasota (Summer).• Connects with regional media and acts as local spokesperson to ensure the community recognizes the value and strong economic benefits of tourism in Sarasota County.• Collaborates with the President/CEO on advocacy issues and thought leadership related to tourism and destination marketing.• Responsible for connecting the resources and expertise of the organization\'s visitor centers, part-time staff, and volunteers with our community and area businesses. • Implements crisis communications, working in lockstep with local government officials and the industry to assess partner needs, collect lodging inventory for displaced residents and emergency workers, and help our regional hospitality industry rebuild following disasters.
