Whole Latte Love Café’s (WLLC) is a social enterprise, whose mission is to promote the lives of persons with disabilities through specialized job training and community integration supports. Founded in 2017, WLLC is among only a few supported employment (SE) programs in Stark County offering a setting in which individuals can develop transferable life skills in a customer service environment. SE has become a true way to help those with disabilities who are unable to successfully gain or retain employment on their own to enter the labor force with dignity and inclusion with others in society. The Café provides services to any adult with an intellectual or developmental disability who are post-high school graduates and linked with a County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Our purpose is two-fold: we take the person-centered approach to training by extending a time-limited opportunity where one can experience a meaningful career in a customer service setting, while further discovering and exploring personal interests, skills and preferences with our community partners. Our platform provides an opportunity to address society’s assumptions about the nature and meaning of disabilities. We are a Certified Medicaid Waiver Provider and accept Level One, IO and Self Waivers through County Boards. Opened in December 2021.
