Selected as one of just ten care-experienced young people for Become’s accredited Young Trainers Programme, aimed at improving support systems for care leavers through lived-experience-led training. In this role, I co-develop and deliver sessions to Personal Advisers (PAs)- frontline workers who guide young people leaving care - to enhance the support provided in education, employment, and life planning. Through this work, I have developed strong public speaking and facilitation skills while working towards an NCFE Level 3 Award in Education and Training, using my lived experience to challenge assumptions and advocate for systemic change within local authorities and care services.
