ABOUT HUMAID DESAI

I am a Computer Science Graduate Student with a passion for science and technology at Virginia Tech. I come from a family of doctors where the go-to tools are a sphygmomanometer and a stethoscope. I did carry on the tradition of tools from my family but to a different field altogether. My go-to tools have always been a laptop and a pair of earphones which, in a way, look similar to that a doctor\'s tools but are poles apart when it comes to their usage.I developed an inclination to this field in my early childhood days, and since then, I have hooked onto the zeros and ones of the binary world. My desire for a technical career prompted me to take up a computer science undergraduate degree and then a Master\'s degree.My interest lies in both generic CS roles such as full-stack/software development and a more research-oriented side of the coin such as AI and ML. To quench my interest and expand the horizon of my knowledge, I worked at Zeel Code Labs as a Machine Learning Intern, where I implemented a KNN and a Random Forest Classifier for predicting the presence of heart diseases in patients.I am currently seeking Full-time/Internship opportunities for the Summer of 2023 and am open to roles pertaining to Software Engineering, Data Analysis, and ML/AI.
