ABOUT HUIMIN WANG

Inspired by my foundation in cardiology, cardiac surgery, critical care medicine, dialysis, and anesthesiology, I’ve forged a career in executive leadership across the globe with a focus on medical devices. Upon working in clinical medicine, I made the leap into the business world in order to make a positive impact on a larger patient population. I love interacting with people across cultures and languages, and spend much of my time split between the US and Asia. After three decades in the medtech space, I have cultivated a unique perspective based on my experience working on the clinical side, working in both the US and OUS, and leading an industry association in Japan, all while guiding a medical device company through the introduction of new, practice-changing therapies.Some of my areas of expertise include: Aligning product value propositions and business objectives with project scope and strategic plans Leading large-scale and highly-diverse cross functional teams through medical device product development lifecycles from concept, to regulatory filing, and subsequent commercialization Formulating and executing platform sales strategies to increase company capabilities and improve revenue in varying marketsSpecific to Japan, I love using my unique skills and knowledge gained through industry association activities dealing with MHLW and the local regulator, PMDA in obtaining regulatory approvals and reimbursement for new technologies. I’m looking forward to leveraging my experience to add value to a medical tech company by helping globalize its business to bring new and emerging therapies to patients across the world.
