Senior data and research scientist in the Program Evaluation Resource Center (PERC). • Evaluate data resulting from the application of mathematical statistical tools, models, methods and techniques. Review analytical results for accuracy and completeness. Organize and summarize results using tabular or graphic representation as well as narrative description.• Contribute to publications, proposals, presentations, reports and summaries that are forwarded to VA Central Office, the Office of Mental Health Operations, Mental Health Services, U.S. Congress, funding agencies and other professional organizations.• Extract and analyze data from the VA administrative data sources (Corporate Data Warehouse, National Patient Care Database, etc.). Use statistical and database programs (SPSS, R, SAS) to construct and manage datasets and databases relevant to program evaluation projects and research. Including programming and metric development• Develop complex, sophisticated accurate programs in software applications such as SQL Server. This includes univariate and multivariate statistical data analysis; multivariate regression analysis using ordinary least squares, logistic and survival models.• Keep abreast of new developments in data management and statistical software and programming to be able to apply the most current techniques to new projects.
