ABOUT HUGH TANG

I am a seasoned construction professional with extensive knowledge in project management, supervision and safety management in the public and private commercial and residential construction settings. My educational and practical training in the traditional construction methods and new technological know-how, combine with my in-depth safety knowledge, have given me the unique ability to deliver projects within the defined scope, time and budget, while maintaining paramount safety standard. Additionally, my fluent speaking of English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) adds value to the project team by being the agent liaising between different ethnic groups. Currently, I am serving as the President of my company, First Beacon Consulting Services, LLC, providing project management, asbestos building inspection (ACP5), environmental monitoring, environmental and site safety plans and on-site safety management services. My professional certifications and licenses consist of: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction, Health and Safety Technician (CHST), NREP Registered Environmental Professional (NREP REP), NYC DOB Construction Superintendent. I am also a licensed NYS DOL – Asbestos Inspector and NYC DEP – Asbestos Investigator. My skill highlights include: Bilingual – fluently in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin); Construction field management – scheduling and progress, field labor control, document control, and procurement; Safety consulting – site safety supervision, compliance auditing, risk analysis and mitigation; Building environmental survey – air, noise, and asbestos sampling; Computer applications – MS Office, AutoCAD and Revit, Raken, Fieldwire and Procore.
